Thumbs down Cargo liner suggestions?

Just picked up a 2008 JK unlimited. Knowing I'll be throwing some SERIOUSLY muddy objects in the back, I thought i'd order a cargo liner. I went online and found one that LOOKED like it was going to do the job... it's a Huskly cargo liner.

I paid $91 dollars for this thing and it's a hunk of crap! I've never seen such a flimsy WAY over-priced piece of junk.

Sorry for ranting, but my disappointment was huge.

Does anyone know of a cargo liner for the unlimited that is going to hold up over time, and that is perhaps made of rubber not thin plastic?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Husky Liner has held up just fine. It's taken it's share of seriously muddy boots, tools, and dogs.Had several loads of sharp rusty metal objects thrown onto it. Hauls trash to the dump twice a week. Rinse it off every now and then, comes out looking like new. Best $80 I have spent in a while.

Yeah it looks about as strong as a frozen trash bag, but it holds up surprisingly well.

I am assuming you made a typo and have the Husky cargo liner, not the Huskly liner. Quadratec catalog says it is made of rubberized material and sells it for $69.99. I have a full set of the Quadratec Catch-All liners, rear cargo for $82.99. I have a subwoofer so I had to cut it to make it fit. It seems to be rubberized. It keeps sliding forward and I was wishing I had purchased the Husky's. I have read several positive posts about the Husky liners. 08 Unlimited Rubicon.

Mine seems perfectly fine to me. It's not like it is made of swiss cheese or anything. Water, mud, and dirt have yet to seep through it.

It sounds like you might be the type to remove the carpet and have the entire interior sprayed with pickup truck bedliner material. I'll probably be doing this after the summer is over myself.

Well, I guess for the money I was looking more of something along the lines and WEIGHT of the jeep all weather mats. Those things are thick bendable and rubber. You know they're going to stand up to time and wear.

I look at the husky liner and I look at the jeep mats and there's no comparison.

But it sounds like you folks that have it are happy with it, so i will give it a chance.

Let's see if Husky can make a believer out of me.

Thanks for the replies.

Default Lowe's = $40.00

I can tell you what I did. For the cargo liner, went to Lowe's. They have a $40.00 all purpose "Large" rubber mat. (Thick & bendable) Cut to fit. It's all one peace lining the sides of the fender wells too. I have it running under the rear seats to reduce visible seems. My dogs love it. Great grip & protection. And my crap (gear) dont slide all over the place. Can posts pics later...when I get home.

I went that route too: just got mine at Tractor supply. I cut it down so that it was NOT up the sides. After a few more posts I'll be gone for a good 24-48hrs but will try to get pics.

But the stuff was cheap & I made some addtional front mats outta the stuff: think the roll I got was like $40 for a 5X8 roll.
