Cargo Question
Hello all, I am going to the Dover Nascar race next week and as usual I am tent camping right outside the track. Any way I think I may need some more cargo sapce than what is offered in the JK Unlimited as my fiancee and I filled the trailblazer to the brim the last few times we went.
I was thinking of buying a hitch and getting one of the 500 pound cargo carries that attached to the hitch

Has anyone used them and does any one else have any other good ideas in order to get a little more cargo room.
Thanks

So, despite the fact that you are a Devils fan (which is bad enough) and a NASCAR fan (which is worse), I will offer you a bit of advice...
The rear rack options add a ton of space for not too much scratch. Realize, of course, that they are virtually useless off road (I suspect the Dover lot does not meet the definition of off road) and you will not be able to access the rear gate while the rack is still attached (at least with the ones I've seen). I added a huge cargo box from Wal-Mart of Home Depot to my rack in an effort to keep stuff dry, and still had some room around the edges for other soft type stuff...
Good luck. Enjoy the race. Wear ear plugs.

Ok I am off to the dealer to put on my hard top. I am going to fold my soft top down so they can at least put the hard top on and next week I will have it wired up, well I hope
I have looked at getting a basket for the hitch for when going on road trips ( because I can not stand clutter in the vehicle). I have been looking into one where it is like a large Rubbermaid tub with a steel frame that goes into the hitch, and has a hinge on it so you can open the gate even if it is fully loaded. Seems like a good option for the money, and then everythign is still secure and safe from the elements.
