Catastrophy or Blessing?
Thought I wouls share my little story... I'll keep it short.
On September 24th I bought my first ever NEW Jeep, a 2009 Silver X 2DR WITH HALF DOORS
. A big thing for me since I have had 5 in the past all used, mostly very used. I brought my shiny new Jk home. About 2 weeks later It was covered in Heavy White overspray. Paint everywhere. I traced it down to whom it came from and kinda got the runaround. So, I called my insurance company and it was covered. Yeah they went after the people who did it. I got my estimate from them and was shocked. New everything.
I was really bummed that I would have to disassemble my brand new JK, so I waited a month before doing anything, kinda let it have that new stock feel for a bit . So, I decided that everything new would be aftermarket. Im a Autobodyman by trade so it wasnt a big delemma. I ordered all the catalogs I could find and kinda made a wishlist. Called several companies but went with 4WD Hardware. I spoke to Robin and Placed my order. It was like Jeep Christmas. I have installed a bunch of parts on it with a few to go still. I know now I should have taken pictures and done a few write-ups to help people out. Im kinda a newbie to Forums.
Thought I would share this lil story. I will say this though, most aftermarket parts take a lil finess to make them fit right. But in the end its all well worth it.
So I guess it was a Blessing in disquise in the end.
Bad thing is I dont know where to go wheelin here.

Half doors are like unicorns. I looked for a half door Rubicon for like 2 months in St. Louis before just buying what was on the lot because the dealer ASSURED me that the half door kit was just around the corner. Been a year, still no kit.
I'd love to see some before and after pictures of what you've put together.
