The only problem I have with the miniconsole is my girlfriend likes to drop her purse there! How often do I have to drop it on the floor before she figures it out?

I bought the base model as well but mine is a 2009. Got the mini console with it and after comparing the mopar factory console w/ the tuffy I went with the tuffy. It has a ton of storage space, as stated earlier a power connection so you can charge up inside of it. The thing is put together really well and I have had people who are unfamiliar with jeeps think that it was factory. The armrest is really comfortable (I've heard some complaints about the mopar one being either too low or too hard). Also when I'm out and about I don't feel weird leaving something of value locked inside. The locking mechanism is super stout. I have a soft top so additional lockable storage is important to me. Also this may sound kinda goofy but another way that I justified it was that this is a mod I will use every single time I use the Jeep on or off road and it will enhance my satisfaction with a vehicle that I am already really happy with. Yeah it is expensive but in no way whatsoever is this thing cheaply put together. Just to give you an idea this thing weighs somewhere (in my best estimation from install) between 30 and 40 pounds and the steel it is made out of is about the width of a quarter. When you pay that price understand you are getting the best.

Got mine from northridge4x4 for a fair price, no shipping fees and no tax so what you see on the site is the price you pay

Glad I'm not the only one who has had that "conversation"
