Can get it checked at a major auto parts store for free. Do any wheeling recently?

Too bad you're not nearby, I can check codes as well.

There are many threads about CEL's on 2012 Wranglers and problems with the cylinder head. Maybe you've already done this but you can check the code yourself by flicking the key from off to run (don't start the motor) 3 times and leave it in the on position the last time. The code will appear in the odometer. If its P0302 or 04 you probably have a bad head. You might as well take it to the dealer no matter what code you get.

I'm having my cylinder head changed out which is on backorder. So , I paid for a rental today and will have to pay for another one next week when it has to go back. I really don't understand how it is you spend 40k on a 2012 rubicon and have to dish out extra cash for rentals when stuff like this happens at 10k miles.?

Because Jeep shipped engine production to? You guessed it Mexico, the only other country that seems to be able to compete with China for shoddy manufacturing.

Hold on a second. Jeep is supposed to pick up the cost of the rental car. They did for me and everyone I know that had this done. Insist on this at the delear and report back.

I agree, I had 08 JKUR and the transfer case blew up. I called their 800 number to complain and they gave me a rental for a week.
