Default chipped hinges...

UGH...my hinges are taking a beating....and getting very chipped up...anyone else?? Hubby and I were thinking about putting a strip of rino liner on the backs so we don't have to glob them up with touch up paint....although summer is coming and they won't be seen then...

This was covered somewhere else.
I think in a mudflap thread.
Evidently the Mopar flaps don't fully take
care of it either.

Maybe we're talking about two different things. I'm not getting chips from rocks (yet), The very tops of my hinges are chipping off. I noticed the bottom, driver's side hinge has chipped completely off and the others are catching up quickly. I just sprayed a touch of WD-40 on it to keep it lubricated.

I have mug flaps. They came from loosing some weight, went from triple chins to main sails.

Similar to the batwings, but not as useful for full flight.

Yes, the chipped hinge thing was on the Mudflap thread. No clue what to really do about it except repaint the hinges alot. Longer flaps (which would look silly as hell in my opinion) and/or sliders/sidesteps may help cut it down some?

Put some of that clear vinyl hood tape they have for keeping your hood free of rock chips! I think it comes in sheets. Google it maybe?????

I have a 2 door so I dont have this issue.
