Default Chrysler cuts powertrain warranty to 5 years

I wonder if this is going to be going forward or if they are somehow going to get out of the unlimited power train warranty somehow with Obama. I would assume when you purchased your vehicle it was a contract between buyer and seller but....

The last sentence in the article:
The change is effective with the start of the 2010 model year.

Notice also that the 5yr/100,000mile is transferrable to a new owner unlike the Lifetime.

So I guess they won't be selling an extended warranty since this is standard now?

I paid $1000 for a 7 year B2B plus have the lifetime powertrain on my 2009. I still like that deal better.

I paid $1200 also ... but it included 8 OIL CHANGE coupons ... worth around $30 each ..
