Oh, it didn't say that in the other thread on this incident. I guess my suggestion to check out the clutch hydraulic system himself is irrelevant.

My jeep dealer took apart my radiator and removed "debris" which was the cause of some overheating issues.....under warranty...cuz of this. Also replaced seat belts that got jammed up.. From this lol. New dealer, be polite and explain

Clutch is a wear item like brakes and is not covered under warranty.

Yeah, I was hoping it might be that simple, but when he took it crapway they could see the shards and damage.

Yes, it Is a wear item. But what clutch goes out at 3k miles with minimal wheeling. Shitty situation but not much he can do if it's flagged and another dealer won't take a look. Hopefully he can talk more this week

This is correct that it is covered till 12 month/12,000 miles. Also the Jeep it trail rated for a reason and it's up to them to prove this failure was caused from abuse and not a defect. Just because you have a mod on your Jeep does not automatically void your warranty. I would go to another dealer that your familiar with. Having a good relationship with a particular dealer help in these issues.

They could easily have a case not covering a clutch if he's on 35's and stock gears, but flagging the whole warranty is bullshit and pretty sure it's illegal

It is illegal under the Magnusson Warranty Act a manufacturer cannot void your entire warranty just because you added bigger tires. They can void you axles or bearings ect.. but cant void your a/c system. The burden is on them to prove what you did caused the failure.

Just curious, was this a dealer in San Diego? If so, which one so I know where NOT to go...
