It must be the Maryland rain. My Jeep has been to the dealership 8 times now for the leak in the soft top. They have replaced everything and anything possible... except for the Jeep itself. The Chrysler Rep came out last week and was possibly even less competent than the service manager himself. I now have to bring it back in on the 27th of August for the Chrysler engineer to look at it. Meanwhile it has been pouring buckets here and the dealer wont touch it.

Here is the kicker... after bringing it in for the fourth time for the soft top leak, I asked the service maager for my service history to be printed. He gave it to me and when I got home i noticed 5 service tickets... the first service ticket was dated 9-15-08 and it was for a leak in the top. The dealership stilll owned the jeep at that time bcs i purchased it brand new 6 months later...

On my TJ I would go in to pick it up after they said they fixed it ( again ) and there would be an inch of water on the passanger side floor.

And what do they say when the hardtop leaks more than the soft?

I must be one of the lucky ones, as the soft top on the wifes 07 JK Unlimited has never leaked. We've had the top off every summer, and back on when it starts getting colder. Both tension straps have ripped out at the pop rivit, but other than that, no problems.

Your best bet is to research this forum before taking your JK to the dealer... Could be a quick fix and with the knowledge on this forum someone will know how to help...

Dealers are notorius for trying to make a buck for doing nothing.

Search "fixed freakin top leak" ....I think that was the title. I followed the write up and my leak has been fixed for a while now. I went to dealer 3 times before I got smart and searched for a fix on this forum. Thanks ....to whomever it was that came up with the solution.

Edit: Title " I fixed my fuggin top."
