Agree with both. I like getting my Jeep dirty, but its default state should be clean. Nothing like driving down the road with 2-3" of clay mud on the jeep in some places, but I would never leave it that way.

The real, average, condition of my jeep is "not too dirty". Usually it would be a bad idea to brush up against it with light clothes, but it never stays very dirty or very clean.

Since I don't believe in mud flaps my jeep also falls somewhere in this in between category. I find that it's impossible to be bug proof as well seeing as the windshield is a wall

Dirt roads here also. So my Jeep is usually either dusty when its dry or muddy when it rains. I would have to wash it every day to keep it clean. I am way to old and lazy for that anymore. Although I love how it looks all shined up, which lasts until I drive it, the 2 or 3 times a year I do it.

So it will rust, and in another 4 or 5 years I will buy a used JK from the south swap whats still good on mine into it.

/shrug.

Even though our parking lot at work is paved, the yard isn't and there's a couple hundred trucks going in and out 24hrs a day, so clean isn't an easy option.

But now that I bought a house and don't have to go to a car wash, and the new jk happens to be black, I think I'll be washing it weekly!

My black jeep is too hard to keep clean. They weren't kidding when they said"don't get a black vehicle, they show too much dirt". Well, I wouldn't want it any other way. I love my black jeep, clean or dirty!
