I washed my jeep good but forgot the engine........... what is the best way to clean mud off the engine? Just pressure wash it with water?

Umm i just open the hood and spray the engine with water while its cold offcourse not spraying the intake, and then i turn the engine on and let the water evaporate. I think if you keep doing this your engine will stay clean without the need of cleaners and degresers. Iam sure someone here will help you with those. But just water works for me.

Spray clean with pressure washer.
Spray Simple Green on engine and let stand for 3-5 minutes.
Rinse clean.
*option* Sprays some shinny stuff on the motor and let dry.

I spray mine off quite often at the car wash with high pressure. Never have any trouble. I try to keep it off of the alternator and try to avoid electrical stuff, but a little water won' hurt.
