Default Cleaning up a Mess...

So some butthead in my neighborhood decided it would be funny to cover my door handles and windshield wipers with spray form insulation. I've gotten most of it off but there are places on the paint that I can't get clean and the non painted part... well let's just say that I can only really remove the bulk. Anyone have any ideas how to remove this stuff? Thanks in advance!

That is rotten...You might be able to talk to your insurance company and have them take care of it. I don't know if you have a home owner policy if so say your Jeep was parked in the driveway...also might ask for a police report.

good luck and let us all know how it goes.

You can probably use brake cleaner to get it off the paint. But it will probably melt the plastic handles. Maybe fingernail polish remover but I would make sure that doesn't melt them

Your best bet is to use a razorblade and cut away as much as posible, then use denatured alcohol or mineral spirits. After youve gotten as much off as you can, use a cleaning wax. Just keep using a combination of alcohol and cleaning wax.
Sorry to say that is going to be a task to get it all off.

Acetone (main component of nail polish remover) disolves that foam & is safe for use with most plastics.

Do not use acetone on the paint (mainly because it's black). It will dull the clear in a hurry, same goes for brake cleaner. If I were you I'd take it by a body shop and ask them what to use to get it off. It will more than likely have to be buffed away if I were guessing.
