Years ago, and I mean like 15 or so, there was a company that made exactly what you are talking about for the YJ. It was smoked lexan or plexiglass and was like 5 parts that locked together. I remember it being a fairly nice product that hugged the roll bars and was entirely see through. I remember it being expensive too which is most likely the reason I can't find anything about it on Google. It might help if I could remember the actual name of it but I can't. Something like "Lazertop" or the like.

That's cool! I had pictured in my head one solid piece with no visible seams or any thing, it would look really cool in the rain and on cold winter nights.

But then you would contribute to Climate Change (!) by having to adjust the interior climate controls to cool the sun's direct heat or having to melt the snow caps on the roof!
