A novel gadget for your passenger to look at. If you're in any off-camber situation, you're probably not paying attention it, but if you have cash burning in your wallet, have at it!

The point at which the Jeep will roll over is so variable, the reading on the inclinometer is somewhat useless.

Your built-in pucker meter will be a lot more useful.

You beat me to that. I can see it now in a log book

'10 APR 2015 1114hrs - strapped in seatbelt upside down after 3 1/2 rollover event.- Inclinometer now reading 183*-Previous reading 28.5*- witnesses peeing themselves..... dog looking at me strangely...I feel he just wants to go home now...'

I do have the inclinometer gauges on Torque Pro (Android app), but it doesn't show the Jeep's orientation. It shows the orientation of the Nexus 7 on which it's running. If I have the Nexus 7 perfectly aligned with the Jeep, then it's reasonably accurate. But, if I turn the Nexus 7 so that I can actually read it (as I have mine mounted), then it's not particularly accurate. I do figure that if I ever get into a situation where I want to know how steep it was or what the camber was, I might be able to stop briefly, and reorient the Nexus 7 to take the reading. That is, of course, if pucker factor doesn't take over (which if it hasn't, why bother taking the reading, LOL?).

Anyway, that brings me to my question: Do any of the apps out there allow calibration for the device orientation? Specifically, for it's mounting angle both relative to direction of travel and device tilt when level? It would be pretty easy to do, just not sure anyone actually has.

I have the Smittybilt app for my phone and it allows calibration no matter how your phone is orientated even tried it upside down.

there is a different app that can be zeroed at any pitch. Here is a screen shot. It's called "Land Meter" and even has a nifty jeep on the display. Of course the DB 2 door guys will point out it is a 2 door and shouldn't be used for an unlimited 4 door. LOL!!!!
