Just had the joy of an SUV running into my Wrangler while I was sitting at a stop light.
I'm OK but there is damage to the Jeep.
I can see that the steel spare tire mount is busted, the rear bumper is dented and the body along the bottom by the storage area is bent in (looks like the bumper was pushed up against frame).
I wanted to reach out to the board and get any feedback on your experiences from getting rear ended and if there is anything you might have learned to look out for in getting the repairs done.
I'm less concerned about the cosmetics, those are easy to see and fix. It's the hidden stuff I'm worried about.
Good news is the SUV fared a lot worse. Whole front end was smashed in!
