Considering Getting a Wrangler
Yeah that's clearly a matter of opinion and preferences. This is one of the few things I don't like about my JKU. After I bought it I was immediately looking for a way to lower the driver's seat, at least an inch or so. The driving position is uncomfortable in long drives and it puts your feet at pretty poor angles and makes using cruise control mandatory. I would imagine most drivers agree with this, and would find the Toyota to be more comfortable.

On a different note I also do not find any problem daily driving my JK. In fact I have other choices and will pick my JK every time. It is just too fun to drive.
I can't speak for all jks but mine has had some serious problems. It has gotten to the point where I'm in litigation with Chrysler over a lemon law claim.
I would expect for a non lemon jk with the 3.6l to last 150k miles before major parts start failing. At that point you could turn it into a toy and get a Tacoma or tundra to haul her
They are a pain in the ass sometimes but I've never had another vehicle that'll make me smile every time I get in it.

Then you are missing out on life

I quit buying vehicles that didn't bring me joy to drive them over 20 years ago, and even though they have all been at times, some more than others, varying levels of pain to own, I won't go again back to driving a car that's simply an "appliance".
I'm not sure if a TRD Tacoma would qualify as a vehicle that makes you smile every time you get in it. Maybe, who knows. I haven't ever owned one. But without question every vehicle I have owned that had this positive effect on me also made me throw things and consider setting it on fire every once in a while too. Comes with the territory, I guess.
