Default Convince Me

I have to make up my mind today. Do I trade my 2004 Silverado Z71 for the 4 door 4x4 JK? I can't decide, I love my truck, but miss my jeeps something fierce. Anyonegone from lifted truck to JK? I am really afraid I am just jumping on the bandwagon because it is new and cool, but the jeep dealer will give me 16000 for the truck. It has 50k on it.

Try jumping back and forth from a Nissan 350Z to a lifted JK on 35s. It is *bizarre*. The top of my head in the Z is lower than the seat of my pants in the JK!

Sadly, the Z is packed away in the garage till spring :( We've had 3-4 feet of snow over the past month across the front range.

I'm going from an Audi A6 twin turbo. I have not even been on the market for a car, but this came along, and I just had to have it.
Theres a fairly good point here. If you love your truck, why take a chance?

The Trans Am will stay safely away from my grasp until the buying process is over, but I think I convicced myself today. Hopefully my Rescue Green JK will arrive soon. I drove one the other day and was unimpressed with the power. I am hoping that one was built before november and had not been flashed yet. I was almost in tears as I was disassemblying the trucks aftermarket parts. Oh well, Jeeps are always more fun when the summer arrives no matter how slow they are.

I personally have an 05 Dodge Ram 5.7L, 3" body lift, 2" torsion bar crank, 36" SS Iroks that Im trying to sell to get a JK. I wish it had a V8, but other than that its what Ive wanted for a while. I almost bought one back in 01 but the dealer ended up fishtailing on the deal right before I signed the papers and so I went back looking and ended up w/ another pickup. Ive just been waiting for them to have power windows/door locks. Now they do, and Im completely sold. I just dont think anything can replicate the feeling of taking off the top/doors and goin to play.

If you need convincing, you probably aren't ready to get rid of your truck. You'd probably also love your Jeep, but any problems it may have will be amplified in your mind. Put it off a few months, if you can.
