I think you'll find nothing beats washing the salt off on a regular basis.
I had my XJ for 14 years and washed it a few times through the winters. No rust while I owned it.

X2. Washing the salt off on a regular basis really makes a difference. I also just had mine sprayed with Krown. Took the wifes Blazer in there so I figured why not do the Jeep as well, can't hurt anything.

Like other's have stated.....Wash on a regular basis.....and make sure you spray into the area's where the salt and road grim will build up! I usually try to rinse our vehicles once/week regardless of what the roads/weather is like to reduce the chances of rust.

Also, after each winter...be sure to touch-up any rock chips from gravel!!!

I am not sure what is available up in Canada but I would recommend getting the equivalent of Ziebart rust proofing. they apply it and then an annual inspection where they touch up any product that has been chipped or torn off. It is kind of like rhino lining. But definately wash frequently.

Sorry to tell you, but those electronic rust prevention products don't work. The only way they could is if you buried your jeep underground, or completely submerged it in water.

We've got Ziebart up here too. I've got the undercoating on my JK, but I'm not sure if it was done by the dealership/DC directly or subbed out like the 3M rock guard is

My wife got that on her new Nissan a couple of months ago. I'll let you know in 10 years whether it works or not.

I have been using Ziebart on all my vehicles for about the past 8 years, no rust.....ever!! Regular rinsing is still a good idea.

I know that it was designed to help keep trucks from rusting out in the salt mining industry. The idea is the negatively charge your vehicle so that it repels the salt, etc... I don't really know how well it works, but that is the general idea behind it.
