Yep. I don't know how, but my 6spd transmission has a 3" crack on the bottom of it. No marks, scuffs, or scrapes on it from wheelin. It is not leaking. The only reason I notices it was because I was hitting the grease fittings on the control arms and was trying to track down a mysterious banging noise I hear when going over bumps. I thought something might be bent or loose. I could understand this if I had done some extreme wheelin and smashed it on a rock or stump, but sad to say, this is not the case. So, tommorrow I will call the dealer for an apt. I hope they don't try to blame this on me. The only time my trans has been messed with is for the throw out bearing recall (twice).

Ya, no kidding. This sucks. I already got stuck with the repair when my front trac bar bracket broke off the axle.

I'll try to post a picture tommorrow. Sun was going down when I was checking it out. It'll be my first pic so please be paitient(sp).

 

I posted 2 pictures in my-projectjk, but don't know how to put them here. It is under my screan name there. If someone could post them here or tell me how to that would be great. The crack has actually doubled in size sence the first time I saw it. She goes in monday. It doesn't show in the picture, but it is actually buldging out quite a bit, and there are a few more stress fractures around the area. I guess something must have broken inside the case.
