Default Cruise Control

I Have A 2007 Sahara With Cruise Control, Sometimes When I Push The Cruise Button On The End Of The Lever To Activate It. Cruise Does Not Activate I Have To Push It Again, Am I Doing Something Wrong Or Is This A Common Problem Or A Normal Problem On The Jk. Additional Info Its A 6 Speed Manual Tranny. Thanks In Advance For Any Help With This.

I am guessing you mean push it twice to get the light on the dash to say cruise.
I would say you are pushing it too quickly. Try holding it for a second. Everything on the wrangler is controlled by the computer. Non-essential things are not scanned as often as others.

Default Don't mean to steal the thread, but

does anybody know if you can after market cruise control? I didn't think I'd miss it, but after a couple hours on the road, I really do.

MOPAR sells a kit for $230, ask your dealer about it. Either you or the dealer can install it but they will need to update the computer for you in any case. They also sell the fog lights and tow hooks if you are missing those as well.

On topic, I also have to push the button a second time if I don't do it just right.

i believe they do not have to update anything on the computer. go to the writeups section and do a quick search. it should be on page one or two as a member just recently (this week) did this mod and didn't have to have anything updated as our computers are ready to go for it.

sorry to detour from your original posting

Same thing here, if I don;t push it enough or long enough, I have to do it again. I think it's so you don't accidently turn cruise on.

Usually on EvilBay for 175 plus shipping. The factory MOPAR cruise. Just bolt it on, plug it in and it works. It's all computer controlled.

Mine works every time, maybe I don't rush it? Dunno.

For the after market guy, do a search, it isn't as easy as you might think sad to say. I got one with mine since I hate to be without on long trips and I can keep the speed down and avoid speeding tickst this way.
