Default cummins liberty 2010

Now, we're not ones to go 'round spreadin' rumors, ...
I read a post from a cumins vendor stating they were getting orders for 2010 Liberty Cummings heater tubes.
I hope it is the 4.7 L going in to the Ram 1500 and Dakoda.

I can guarantee there wont be a 4.7L Cummins in a liberty. The 3.0L bluetec is the obvious engine for it.

liberty with a diesel?....i dont understand why one would opt for this...the money saving argument is out cuz you would have to buy replacement engine and drop it in....so?

I don't know what you're saying - if the Liberty was being offered with a diesel, then the diesel would be an option if you bought a Liberty. There'd be no "replacement engine"... it'd be a factory option. This is the Liberty we're talking about... the KJ.

Now, if you're thinking ahead about engine swaps for the JK, then you're right - you'd have to buy a diesel then drop it in, same as you'd have to do now.

What aren't you understanding?

Edit: BTW, I'm not trying to be mean - I'm not understanding what you're confused about.

If they did offer another diesel in the Liberty I know it would be a big hit. Even though they didn't offer it for long, the CRD KJ's are in high demand and the ones who have em love em from what I've been reading on KJ forums.
