How many poor b^st^rds, like myself, ended up with a Dana 35 in their 07? It just isn't right. WTH D/C?
I don't see a heck of a lot of options for them?

D35 killers that I used to see on TJs were attributable to running lockers, too much foot on the go pedal and bouncing on rock obstacles. Usual fixes used to be the 8.8 transplant from an Explorer or Ranger, or upgrading with the 30 spline Super 35 setup, or scoring a 44 from the boneyard. (Not sure if the first 2 are still options for JKs though...) Unless you are really planning to run the 35 hard, it can last a long time IMO.

A used rear JK 44 shouldn't be hard to find, and a non-rubi rear should be pretty darn cheap at that. (though if you can score a rubi rear for cheap, definitely take it over a non-rubi).

I only got 650 for my rear D44 and it was a rubicon with 5.13 gears. They are a cheap D35 replacement if you look for them.

Like a set of 44's off of a 79 postal Jeep?

Really?! Is it 2wd too? I bet the axle breaks every time it you back it out of the driveway, huh? It probably came with 5 mimes that ride with you everywhere you go and a pink poodle as your co-pilot too. People probably assume your queer and grab your nads in bars. I'm sure chicks look down and giggle too when you pull up to them on the road.

That must really suck, dude. Lucky for you, there's the '12 wrangler with a D44 rear stock and that one new engine, what's it called again? The octopus... or pentagram... or something...
