Default Dana 44 option?
Hi all,
I'm looking at the possibility of trading in my Liberty for a Wrangler. Does anybody know if the Dana 44 front axle is an option on a 2010 JK Sport, or is it limited to just the Rubi?

A friend of mine says his son's JK unlimited has a Dana 44 front axle. It's a Sahara though.

Not that I know of, should be only a Rubicon feature.

Maybe your friend doesn't know what he has?

The unlimited that I'm looking at has the Dana 44 in the rear and the next generation Dana 30 live axle in the front.

The front dana 44 is only available for the Rubicon in Canada. It should be the same for USA ?!

Judging from Jeep's website, it is limited to the Rubicon model.

I believe it was an option in 2007 but no longer available. Rubicon only now.
