Saw this a few months ago. I think WOL is in there, or one of his rigs? Pretty fun to watch, especially the Brute.

They dramatize the crap out of that trip. Sudden death awaits around every corner. Oh on puddle crossing It could spell doom.

Moby Dick is in the opening segment of the show, if my memory serves me correct, not part of the actual trip.

Basically that show was an infomercial for AEV.

I just finished watching it. I enjoyed it! Seemed kinda cheesy though.

Dangerous drives...

I just moved to SD and had to take a highway through the mountains. It was my first time on a two lane road through twists and turns. Especially a road with banked roads (I'm from Northern VA).

For those of you in SoCal, Ortega Hwy is very scenic but extremely dangerous if not used to it.

I drove this route and kept up with the locals, between 45mph and 55mph and was extremely surprised at how well the JK handled. I plan on going again soon just for the experience.

Driving the JK for the past year and change, I have realized; The JK is almost always more capable than the driver.

What road? When I go visit my folks who live in Chula Vista, I get off I-8 in Jacumba and take a series of roads that run near the border, eventually arriving past Otay Lakes on Telegraph Canyon Road. A very pretty drive with plenty of JKs to see: You pass (will be stopped if heading west) a Border Patrol station and they have a couple dozen JKs for their work.

On topic: Watched the AEV infomercial (LOL) a while back. It was pretty cool, but, as pointed out, a bit lame with the typical "they-might-die-at-any turn" hyperbole. That's just pretty standard for any outdoor reality TV show these days.
