I saw on the news this morning that DC is recalling all 2007 Wranglers (and other Chrysler vehicles) due to a potential braking problem when driving uphill. Hope they fixed it on the '08 models!

 

I was at the dealer this weekend and had mine checked...they put in the VIN and told me that it did not apply, our "born on date" is 07/18/07 so I would say that any JK from at least that date on is already "fixed".

 

Recall = a Jeep thing..........I'm used to it .......

great... not only are the things listed below wrong (soft top, tranny, rattles) but now i have a braking/computer? problem... ill just throw it on the list when i bring mine in on the 24th

Soft top:

wind noise
leaks above both doors
rear plastic clips pop off
right strap between support bars broke through rivets

Transmission:

squeal with clutch disengaged, stops when you lightly press on the clutch
shift into 2nd grinds, clunks, scrapes, etc... sometimes its fine though? lol
shift boots popping out

Other:

Passenger visor rattles, anoying!
under acceleration theres a rattle in the dash
