Hmm...Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, Texas did a dealer trade for my Jeep and there were no problems there. In Texas the dealers work together, they had to give up an Islander to get mine, but he said it's give or take. Maybe next time they'll be getting a Rubi for trading an X model.

If your dealer is a smaller dealer than the other, it could be one of two issues; 1) The other dealer does not want his inventory being 'used' as an extension to other smaller dealers and hopes to get your business. or 2) Your dealer does not have an acceptable trade vehicle in the yes of the other dealer. Either way, I would call the other dealer and try to work out a deal and if not, wait for the car thru your local guy.
Just my 2 cents

Had a similiar deal when I got my '09 Rubi a year ago last February. Tough times for dealers then. Got a great price on the Rubi but truck was coming from out of district so I knew the possibility of the deal not going through was there. The jeep never made it (coming from Minnesota to St. Louis) but the dealer urged me to order another at the same price. I agreed then the factories closed down for Christmas but by February my Rubi was in hand at the agreed upon price + 0% financing! Within 2 months the dealership I bought from had lost their jeep franchise. The Rubi has been completely transformed. Only regret is that I didn't order the MyGig and added it later at a much higher price....but I did get the side airbags.

Jeep-In-A-Bottle
Well here is how I turned an unwanted car into a Rubicon Unlimited:
First after many hours of R&D, and thousands of $$$, the mad scientist in me came up with the following product:
Just add one bottle to the tank of the car to transform . . .
. . . and wait 4 to 6 weeks.
Couldn't be more happy with the results.

Congrats! I am glad you finally got ahold of it. We had a hell of a time getting ahold of our flame red (3 different dealerships and the last one finally got it form another dealership over 10 hours away) but it was very much worth it.
Have fun!
