Dealer Trade-In Offers
I just went by a dealer to get a quote on my Wrangler for trade in.
He offered me $18,200 with 66k mi as-is.
I could probably get more selling private party, but I thought it was pretty fair.
After driving a new 2012, I started thinking about trading up to a new Rubicon.
I'm going to wait until the 2013's, though.

Dude that's a rip. Frigin car salesmen what douches! and if you went in there looking for a Jeep with no knowledge they wouldn't know crap either. None of hte one's I dealt with knew squat compared to what I found out by just reading. Hold on to it man and tell them to get bent.

They offered me 8.5K for my 06 WK and I just laughed. Kinda felt disrespected and knew I could sell privately for almost 3K more. If you don't mind the hassle of selling a vehicle, then sell it privately to make a better profit.

Dealer offered $18500 for my 2009 JKU with 19K miles, said nope I want $21,000 he called his used car salesman and told him to see if another dealer will buy at auction and would let me know later.
Called back in 1 hour and said 21,000 done.
Maybe that is a tactic used or dealers have their own little private auction for used vehicles.
Used TL discount for 2% under invoice for my 2012.

The stealership offered me 10k on my XK with just under 50000 miles and I was trading in for a used JK and they would move on their prices either way... I told them off and went and sold it for 14,500 and got a JKU instead of their 2dr.

I recently received an offer for $23,500 trade value for my 2010 Rubicon Unlimited with 19k miles. It has Mygig, nav, dual tops, and a 6 speed.
I politely declined.
I think Private selling jeeper to jeeper is the only way to go on these things.

Just told the dealer that I want 2 % under invoice as Chrysler will give him 3 % back.
He called Chrysler and came back and said 2 % under invoice.
Some will an others only honor the 1%

That's been said year, after year, after year, after year, after year, and so on..... I'd say it's going to be a big fat NO again! Just basing that off typical Chrysler trends. It will be the exact same Jeep with minor differences with options. Calling it now!
