Just found a Bright Silver 4 door Rubicon, in Oregon, with the following options:
duel tops, tow group, power convenience gp., side air bags, deep tint windows, dvd/mp3 player,Sirus, locking fuel cap, 6 speed. Sticker $32,695. I can have it for $32000, out the door, + tags (no sales tax here and tags are very inexpesive).
It was not my first or second choice of color but I like it. It is the only one I have found in this area. Does this sound like a good dear? I can order an 08 for $600 over invoice throught CostCo but ??
Also, I have always had a manual jeep, and I was thinking of the auto this time, but my wife will drive either. Any comment would be appreciated.

 

Sounds kind of high to me, since your in Oregon where there's no sales tax. It sounds like they're only giving you about $600 off sticker. I bought mine last October when they were hard to find and got $1000 off sticker (which also turned about to be $1000 over invoice). I thought my deal was a little high, but I just figured to get one of the first one's out, I'd have to pay a little extra. Now that they've been out for about a year, I would think you could get a little better deal. Of course, Rubicon's have been harder to come by, so you may have to pay a little more because of that.

 

Consider that price premium the cost of admission, for not having to wait in line for an order to be filled... If you're able to wait for an '08, you'll have some extra $$$ left over for a lift or whatever... but do you really want to wait until Summer's over to drive?

I say buy it now, if you can swing the payments comfortably. If not, wait for an '08. Hope that helps!

 

Waiting SUCKS, buy it now. The price doesn't sound tht bad for a 4dr Rubi, my boss was looking for one and the dealers around here still aren't dealing on them.

Buy it and drive it. I hate to wait, that's why I drove 100 miles to get one. (Are you looking at Sheppard Motors?)

 

If you order an 08, you will be waiting awhile. You would save money, but you will be waiting. But, you can order the exact color you want. What you aren't noting is where you would purchase the Jeep through (as far as dealer), and what their allocation may be...so no idea on how long your wait could end up being.

Or, you can take this 07, pay some more, and be driving it within days. Now granted, as you noted, it was not your first color choice....but if it was something that you were not "dead set" on as far as first choice for color....Silver is sharp looking.

Personally, if you like everything on it....I would go grab it, and be driving it and enjoying it.

 

Doing some searching and happened onto this post. Please let me warn everyone in the Tacoma/Seattle area this dealership on S. Tacoma Way-Larson Jeep Yadda Yadda- is the worst, most complete bunch of A-holes I have ever come across. I love my JK, but if they were the only place to get one Id rather drive a mini van. We were treated so poorly and fed such a line of bull that im still mad months after the fact. Thank god I read these posts daily and knew my information before talking to those liars. This may not effect many of ya but if one person drives past this place to get a jeep elsewhere I would be tickled. And to sink it home I got my JK at an awesome little dealership and got outstanding treatment but i wont meantion the name so as to imply that i have a montary interest in this. Larson just plain sucks and i hope they go out of business. This especially goes out the GIs. There are alot of bases nearby and you may be tempted because the lot is close to the bases. I know dealers need to make money, but to all out lie and basically steal. Please! Here was some of their bs- $5000 'premium markup', cannot order a JK, Saharas are 'extremely rare' and we have the only one in the area, and I wont get into the whole attitude by the staff from top to bottom. But I will go on to say I drove a short distance to a dealer who had about 6 on the lot,not one like i wanted so we did paperwork to order and come to find out they had one just like i wanted coming in 3 wks and they gave me a good price (their first with MyGig by the way-I didnt think id make it off the lot with it they were playing with it so much) and even better treatment since. Okay I vented but please pay heed. So pissed Im not even gonna use faces. ok just one
