Default Desert Rat?

Is anyone familiar with DesertRat.com for parts (and service)? They are local to me (Arizona) and have multiple shops here in the Phoenix Valley in addition to their website. I'm ultimately looking for the best company from which I'll make my purchases. My concern is certainly pricing (parts, service, shipping), but also reputation (honesty, knowledge, turnaround times, etc). I've seen a lot of talk about quadratec that's been both positive and negative and I guess I want to know how desert rat compares as well as the other best choices out there.

Thanks in advance!

I know back in my YJ days they were the go to guys for gears, lockers, etc. I bought some gears and Lock Rite's off of them through mail order and had excellent service from start to finish. But that's been almost 20 years ago now so I can't speak for them currently.

I have dealt with DR for about 10yrs now and I have no (real) complaints. I think the person you deal with has as much to do with the experience as the company you deal with. I would suggest doing your own research and have a good idea of what you are looking for before going any where. Any and every shop tend to push certain products/brands. Good thing is if you do not go with DR, the PHX area has a number of shops to choose from.

I just bought a front bumper from them. The shipping was quick and very secure, the price excellent, the product as advertised, and customer service on the phone was very helpful.

A+ for them!
