Detroit Tru Trac Locker problems?
Anyone experience any problems with the Detroit Tru Trac Lockers? I did my research on them before I purchased a front and rear set for my 2013 JK, I could only find positive feedback on them so I bought them along with a set of Yukon 4:88 gears and had them professionally installed. 900 highway miles later the rear locker in my dana 44 came apart and destroyed itself and also destroyed the Yukon ring and pinion!!! I hope the warranty covers this!

Just took it in today and my mechanic told me about it so no pics yet. He's a Jeep pro. Is Eaton pretty good on backing up their warranty???
Not that it matters with your issue, but you have two thing mixed here. Is it an Eaton TruTrac differential or an Eaton Detroit Locker? They are different in application. The TruTrac is a limited slip differential and really has a great reputation and is pretty darn reliable. I've had one in my rear diff over 20k miles and no issues.
I think the locker is pretty reliable as well, but I don't have any direct knowledge.
I would say anything blowing up that fast is generally install error. Does the shop not warrant their work as well? Between them and Eaton it should be taking care of.
