Diablosport
I just finished installing my Terraflex lift, JKS adjustable track bars, Bilsten shocks and 4.88 gears and new wheels and tires
. The only thing left to do is install my new Diablosport programmer and guess what it needs to be updated before I can use it, and come to find out I need to ordered a $30.00 power cord before I can update it.That's B.S.
I guess I should have asked if I can get this at Walmart?
-USB to Serial cable OR a straight 9-pin Serial/Serial cable -12 v 1 amp power cable 2.5 x 5.5 mm jack, center pin positive

I bought the Ripp header package that came with the Diablosport. There was either a paper in the box or i read it online at there site but you cannot use Belkin cables and it says Radio Shack sells a cable you can use. I just have not made it there yet. I wasnt happy either
Yea, I read that online on their website. What i can't understand is why this thing is not ready to use right out of the box or if you need this kit to update why don't they supply it with the programmer. The reason why I bought it was i am going with the RIPP headers soon, but wanted the programmer to update Gears and tires now.

A USB to Serial cable is relatively easy to find. I got one in a Fry's nearby to use with a HAM radio that does not have a USB port. It's weird that a new product requires you to use this kind of adapter cable. My Bully Dog, and I see the Superchips also, use USB already.
Did you buy it at a speed shop or direct from them? The cable is a necessity for it radio shack has them no big deal. If you bought it from a speed shop they should be able to update for you. Call diablo they have great customer service and they can tell you who close can update it for you.
