Default Did i make the Wrong Choice? - RESOLVED

My FT Ultimate Lower Control Arms came with out the misalignment spacers. I called FT (OVER A MONTH AGO) to order 2 pair. I placed the order and was told not to worry about payment! I thought cool FT is really good to there customers. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I called again; FT can’t seam to find that order anywhere. Fine, no problem I placed a second order this time I gave my CC information asked for 2-3day shipping. A week goes by, nothing. Ok fine (again) I called they can’t find the order they will call me later on that day. Another week goes by, No call. I call QUDATRACK and tell them my problem and explained that I thought going str8 to FT and paying would be faster...I guess not. So they put in an order. Now it’s been over a month and a half and I have still to complete my install. I purchased this brand because from what I have read it’s a good quality product. But from the hassle I’m getting trying to get a few small missing parts and all the freaking noise this Kit is making (sounds like a clunker driving down the street) I’m beginning to think I made the wrong choice. I might have to find a local machine shop fab up some peaces. If I have to do that after spending over $300 on the control arms. They would have lost a customer for life.

Not to mention I ordered a FULL TRACTION HD REAR SWAY BAR in Sept. that I have yet to receive!!!

Any comments?

Are you running the CA's without the spacers? That can't be good...

No, of course not...... I installed everything but the front upper and lower control arms. I bought the kit to get the best ride possible but with out the adj. front control arms my steering is flimsy and the more I drive the more it reminds me that I have spent over 2k and I'm not happy....

Posting to relief some steam and to get comments and/or suggestions.

Any other stories about FT???

Well, without the adj CA's installed, it shouldn't ride well. Having the adj CA's in would let you really dial in the angles and make sure the wheelbase is still pretty close to OEM. I would be pissed too.

The only bad things I've heard about FT is the time it takes for a response. One guy in our local club had some weld issues with a kit for a TJ and FT upgraded him to a long arm kit for a very small price. Not bad in my book.

Hey archie0010, are you saying that you actually bought something directly from Full Traction? Because, so far as I knew, they don't have a storefront and don't sell directly to the public. But, if you were able to do this somehow, send me a PM with your full name and contact info and let me see if I can't make a call to help you out.

Okay, I just called Full Traction and you should be getting a call from them today to find out how many mis-alignment spacers you need. If you don't hear from them, please let me know.

Also, I would like to stress that Full Traction DOES NOT sell to the public and any customer service problems you have been experiencing should have been with the vendor you purchased your parts from. At least, they are the ones you paid money to, have records of your purchase and in my humble opinion, are the ones who should be jumping through hoops to make sure you are a satisfied customer.

I just spoke with Patrick. Everything has been resolved. He will be sending out a set ASAP at no Charge.

The reason I didn’t want to deal with QT like I said before was the time I thought it would take to get the parts. I wanted to deal with FT directly.

Everything worked out and I got to test out the HELP option of JK-Fourm...lol

LOL!!

Seriously, in the future, you really should contact your vendors about problems like this. As I said before, they are the ones you purchased your parts from, they will have you on record and they are the ones who should be doing whatever they can to keep you a happy customer. When you contact manufacturers directly, they won't know who you are or anything about what you ordered and while most will ultimately help you out, it typically takes longer as they will need to verify things. If they didn't, anyone and their mother could call up asking for free parts.

Anyway, if in the future you or anyone else is having problems with a manufacturer who is a sponsor here, please let me know and I will do what I can to help out if it is at all possible.
