Just heard from a supplier friend of mine that the 2012 Wrangler will have a Diesel option.

I don't know anything about the specs, but he is starting to tool some of the parts already....

 

I'm driving a 07JK with the 2.8 VM-Diesel

But i'm living in Germany

Ya, lemme just state that there is no way I can 'confirm' the truth, but it was an unsolicited comment from my friend, as he was riding in my jeep. I have no reason to doubt him, but I also cannot confirm it......

....i.e....please don't flame me if in 1 1/2 years, it turns out the option fell off the map.....

 

I heard the same thing from a dealer here, but I haven't seen anything in print yet.

it's about time, but ill still believe it when i see it. Changing my 08 X in April so i should be ready for a 2012.

 

i know an electric one is coming.

I had a long time ago a Toyota Landcruiser with a diesel engine. This engine was a legend. S-O-L-I-D

 

What from toyota isnt built solid? Would be a nice option to see though.
