I love my hemi, there is something about a V-8 that practical or not, makes me grin. But I agree a diesel would also be awesome, and a good fit for a Jeep.

So....if they ever give us a good diesel option.

I will just have to own 2 Jeeps.

Obviously the diesel lovers out there have not looked at the diesel prices lately.....

Back in the 90's yes I would love a diesel...not now......they smoke, stink they are way to loud, and sound like crap when you punch it. if I wanted a Mack truck I'd buy a Mack truck.

wow thats a pretty brave comment. you should take youself down to your local vw dealer and take a diesel for a test drive. you will be pleasantly surprised and i'll happily take your appology.

Diesels have come a long way my friend. And even with the price of diesel right now, i'd still rather have a diesel JK. My F-250 survived the last diesel price gouge (which was worse than it is now) and i don't have any plans on getting rid of it. Mileage is better than the equivalent truck with a gas motor and will last WAAAYYYYY longer as well.
