Pardon the crappy iPhone picture, but I snapped this in the Park and Ride lot this morning because I thought the Adventurer camper on the Toyo was kind of cool and I thought the TJ Unlimited on the other side of my JK gave the shot an interesting perspective. Here we have three variations on a theme and each of us, in our own way are preparing for a weekend adventure of one sort or another.

The TJ doesn't look like it has ever been off road, but you can never tell. Besides, I think TJ Unlimiteds are very cool.

I was thinking the same thing... he's going for that layering look, I guess... I wonder if he could find some other accessory to put on top of the Yakima?

as to the original post, I like your perspective on things... I'm no Jeep snob, and I say any way you like to enjoy the outdoors (and however you want to get there) is cool with me... personally, I don't believe that my JK is going to be climbing over any massive rock ledges any time soon, and I'm not a big fan of excessive amounts of mud, so I'll probably be staying pretty well stock with the exception of more capable tires and a few other things... I can promise you that my JK will likely see a lot of dirt roads, fire roads, and other various other out-of-the-way paths and do it's (or my) own version of off-roading in that respect... just b/c you don't have a 3" lift and 35s doesn't make it a mall-crawler
