Default Discounttiredirect????

It seems that this is the best way to get tires....choice wise and price wise. So...is it kosher to buy tires online and then bring them to Discount tire to have them mounted? Looks like 20+5 for tmps= $100 for four.....mounted and balanced. No sales tax? I'm looking at GY Duratracs for $169...free shipping. I am assuming there is no sales tax, but I may be wrong. Seems like you don't know till you go through with the ordering process.

last time i did that discount screwed a rim on my 'cuda and claimed "they didn't do it". THEY TOOK IT OUT OF THE BRAND NEW BOX. Needless to say, I'd take it anywhere to mount the tires, no loyalty to discount tire imo.

I ordered my tires from discount tire direct and took the wheels and tires to a regular discount tire to have them mounted. Worked out fine, no complaints whatsoever. And I got a sick deal on the KM2s I've been running. You shouldn't have any issues. If I remember correctly, there was no sales tax.

The good thing about getting them mounted and balanced local is that if they're not balanced right you can drive it back there. If they're shipped to you mounted, you might end up taking them somewhere to get re-balanced anyway.

If you have a 4wheelparts close and they cary the wheels you want, tires wont be an issue, you can order thru them and have them shipped to the store no shipping they will mount and blance change your TPMS's over. They didnt charge me anything to change over my TPMS's, just a thought you could check with them We have a sponsor here on the forum 10%off and they do price match

Of course you pay sales tax. If not on the order, then when you file your income tax returns at the end of the year.
Everyone claims all their mail-order and pays their due taxes, don't they?

Contrary....I don't want that stuff he's smokin'

I don't know how it works, maybe Discount Tire Direct corporate office is in Canada, and we do not have to pay sales tax. Discount Tire Direct I would hope is a different company than Discount Tire, therefore no pay sales tax.

I ordered my tires from them and brought them and my "new" wheels to a tire shop and had them install them. They even swaped my TPMS valves for $100.00
