DIY Slant Back Hard Top
I really like the look of the Wild Boar Fast Back Hard Top but they are very expensive. I'm sure they are well built and probably costly to produce, so the selling price is probably justified. However, there are a lot of people in the same financial position as me. So I have decided I would like to try to make my own from plywood, fiberglass and Mar-Gard Plexi-glass.
Has anyone on here attempted such a project. If you have, could you post some pictures and pointers.
When I begin this project, I'll keep a running write-up going.

Thanks Doc. I've seen that stuff before. It may work well for a hard top. I'm just wordering how difficult it would be to form and mold. I was just out in my shop and had an idea I will try out. I've got quite a bit of 2" insulfoam panels. It's a very dense styroform used for home insulation under the siding. It would be strong and can be easily shaped with a sander. I'm thinking I'll build the whole top out of this and then fiberglass over the styrofoam.. I'll have to do a test first to ensure that the resin doesn't melt the foam when applied.
