Default Does this look right?- Mopar Running Boards

Does this look right? I just installed these running boards on the 2012 Rubicon. To be honest, I think the gap looks ugly. The gap actually looks better in the pictures than it does on the rig. Is there someway to shim these up a little bit? The install is pretty straight forward so I dont know what else I could have done?

I had them on my 07 and that looks about right. Maybe your factory rails can be re installed to fill the gap

looks right to me. now look at it from this standpoint, if you hit a rock off-roading and thrash the running boards, if there was no gap you would likely break off your fender as well, there is reason for the gap Im guessing.
