Does this look stupid
Bought this used folding basket on my route with the intention of using on my rear receiver but it hits spare tire.
I have a front receiver from a multi mount winch I had so tried it there.
I like to Fred Sanford stuff people throw away and go beach combing for driftwood or anything else I find and find myself needing a basket.
Does it look stupid putting it in front until I can figure a way to extend mount or just put it in back and just leave it down.

I'll chime in first and say it does look a little odd in the front and it takes away from the classic jeep grill. What you can do is go to Harbor Freight as they have a receiver extension that will help you clear that spare and you can fold it up in the back. I paid under $20 for mine and now I don't even use it since I deleted my spare. I plan on getting a tire carrier so I will end up using it again. Let me know if you want to see a pic of it and I'll snap one for you.

I understand the usefulness of this as I see a lot of similar stuff here at the beach. I personally don't like it as it hides the front of the jeep. I would move it to the back with an extension ( as others recommended) or just put it on the front when you need to use it and remove when you don't.

I don't know that I'm too fond of the look, myself. On the other hand, it definitely has a bit of a Safari-type look to it, and does look very utilitarian, which is really what the Jeep was meant to dress like, so I guess I'm torn.
