If you've spent any time on the forum, you've probably seen someone tell another forum member not to call a Jeep a car... and you've no doubt heard the old "Every time you call a Jeep a car, God kills a kitten." Well, looks like no one told Willys-Overland that, back when they owned Jeep!

"Jeep Station Wagon" just sounds wrong. How many cats would die if someone called the JK "a station wagon?"

Thats what they call it on the Michigan registration card.

 

Same in AZ, it's classified as a Station Wagon....You'd think they could come up with some new descriptions at the MVD.

 

I guess station wagon is better than minvan. . .

 

Well in 1947 Jeep realized the drastic decline in the worldwide kitten population was attributed to that poster and ad campaign that the term car was deleted in favor of just calling it a Jeep!!!!

 

My Willys-Overland WWII MB Jeep is call a "Truck, 1/4 Ton, 4X4" right on the dash bord! (look at the top middle plate)
