Know I have seen some threads about hinge corrosion on jks but couldn't seem to find how people fixed. More so best way to clean then before painting bed lining etc. I want to just get new powder coated hinges but need to wait abit do to unforeseen brokenness. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

I just did mine. The paint was just flaking off. The hinges are just aluminum. I stripped them, then sanded down to bare metal. 3 coats of white primer and 4 coats of black satin spray paint.

 

Paint has flaked off and has a white color figure I'd use Bedliner just wasn't sure how to clean the so it will stick, also I read somewhere that the doors aren't painted under hinge, haven't taken mine off yet. Where yours paint under the hinges?

 

No they aren't painted under hinge. Mine even had some surface rust starting. I cleaned that area too.

Look like cryslar painted the door with hinges on and even the torx bolts
