Default Door weight!

For evey one that wated to know, I weighted my doors over the weekend. the front ones are 60lbs. and the back ones are about 40lbs. so it works out to about 200lbs. for all 4.

Yeah I pegged it around 50lbs...looks like the pucker factor is pretty well calibrated.

I'm assuming those weights are with power windows?

Mine are in the 60# range with elec. windows.

take the doors and rear bench out and u can save at the pump

ive been contemplating removing the rear bench in mine as its never used, will it be worth it tho for the weight saving?!!?

Odd. Mine, without electric anything, weigh 60 pounds front and 45 pounds rear. And the scale I used tends to weigh a pound or two light (I like that when weighing myself. LOL).

I don't know if it there would be any substantial increase in MPG's with the rear seat out, but it sure helps with cargo capacity.

You can't hardly get into a two door back seat anyway so why have it? They should have made that an option on the two door when they came up with the 4 door.

Makes a nice garage couch, though.
