Ya I've already read about the mirror dimple ha ha. That is the first thing i did was hook up the strap and plug in the wire. Might be leaving the bolts out for the summer though they are a pain when you just want to get those doors off and drive.

 

The bolts on my JK door hinges came off around April 2009 - about 2 months after I bought it and they've never gone back on. To be perfectly honest, I really have no idea where they might be now??

 

Ya. They arnt necessary. Jeep just does it factory to covet their butt. Mine are never going back in. And about the mirror dimple. I have rugged ridge hinge overlays and they stop my doors from being able to open the whole way to cause a dimple. So it's great :-) I went naked the other day (top doors and t tops off) :-)

 

Dont forget to secure the garage opener ( remote control) that usually hangs on sunvisor. I Already lost one while driving with no doors.

 

Get yourself a small aftermarket opener, remove the cover from the roll bar (left side by your head), cut out a small portion of the foam on your roll bar, enough to fit the transmitter and and put it in there, with the button facing out. Put the roll bar cover back on and you'll always have your opener. It's hidden and you can activate it through the cover...

hmmm, I guess everyone now knows where mine is...

 

I've only had mine about 2 months....the doors have been on maybe 2 or 3 days. If it wasn't for rain I'd never put them on!

 

Ya wish i could just leave my doors off all summer except for i don't have a garage and I live in the downtown "crack" central of my town so they always gotta go back on to keep the riff raff out.

 

As soon as the storms stop here in AR I'll be able to get these doors off.
