Dreading the Winter tires????
I have 4 sets of Duratracs on plow trucks/jeeps. I. Put bfg ko2's on a truck for this year because it needed 10 ply and the gy weren't available in the size I want. The Duratracs are the best I have ever used and I've done commercial plowing for over 20 years. I did like Bridgestone revo for snow but they aren't aggressive.
I've owned three rear-wheel drive BMWs with summer tires over the last ten years, so I'm accustomed to swapping out tires/wheels for winter setups (Bridgestone Blizzaks). I'm definitely looking forward to not having to do the seasonal swap with my JK, which is outfitted with Nitto EXO Grappler AWTs. I assume they will perform satisfactorily in the snow based on the AWT designation and the visible sipes in the tread profile. Anyone have winter experience with these models?

The nitto awt looks sorta like the duratrac except not quite as much spacing between the tread blocks. The depth is the same. The compound has a big part in it too. But they look good and have sidewall tread if you're gonna be offroad. As far as winter rating, the bfg was rated better on tire rack than the duratrac on their 1-10 scale. They don't carry the nitto so no apples to apples comparison.

"Rated with the 3-peak mountain snowflake for winter driving conditions, the Exo Grappler’s sipes and large lateral grooves provide biting edges as well as water and snow/slush evacuation. These tread features are combined with a new durable compound that allows for traction in freezing temperatures."
