Default Dual Tops?

This is probably a really dumb question... And I feel stupid asking it, but when you order the dual top group does that mean you get both the hard top and the soft top or is it just the hard top?

When you order the Dual Tops, you get both. If you do nothing, you get the soft. If you order the Hard Top you get just the hard top (it will replace the soft top). Hope this helps.

The famous "Dual Top" is a sophisticated high-tech synthetic material that changes from "Hard" to "Soft" with the touch of a button. I tease.

Not a stupid question at all - you get both the Hard Top and the Soft Top. If you're ordering the 2 door, I'm not sure which Soft Top you get - I was hoping for the "Sunrider" version, but that wasn't being produced yet at the time my JK was built, so I have the "normal" Soft Top in addition to the Hard Top. On the 4-door, you would get both the Sunrider Soft Top and the Hard Top if you order the Dual Tops option.

Damn that means the dealer forgot to stick the soft top in the trunk  . That's alright I'm sure I wont have any problems getting it off them and I read another thread on here about someone's dealer doing the same thing (that makes me feel better).

I think it's more lkiely the dearler ordered the wrong option for you. Or sold you the wrong jeep.
Maybe someone will correct me on this, but I thin it comes off the truck with the right config. There should be more than just the ragtop. There's some screw on accesories for the top to attach to.

It should come already mounted in the jeep. You actually have to take the hard top off to get it out. And then there should be two big cardboard boxes inside the vehicle, one with the windows and one with the window frames. Check your window sticker to see if it says dual tops.

Default Check for your brackets too!!!

Make sure you get the two metal brackets that mount to the rollbar and the two plastic brackets that mount to the rear of the vehicle. Mine was missing the windows and the plastic brackets. I got the windows, the plastic brackets are on backorder.

Default Dual Top Difficult?

I have a dumb question sort of related to this thread. I pick up my Jeep tomorrow with Dual Top option. I will be sure to check and make sure all parts are present!

My question is how does the soft top work? I was imagining like a convertible as in it folds back out of the way. However, I now have the impression that it is either on or off, like the hard top. If my impression is correct, how hard is it to put up/put down the soft top?? And how hard is it to install?

I would appreciate some feedback on your experiences! Thanks!

Soft top folds back. You have to take out the side windows, and the back window, then you fold it.

Or, you can take it completely off. It takes about 5 minutes to put down, a few more to put it up. You get faster as you go.
