E-brake handle/cable problem

E-brake handle/cable problem
Has anyone else had a problem with the e-brake cable braking? It the piece that comes off the bottom of the handle and has a bracket that holds the two cables for the rear... It snapped this morning! Thankfully enough it was an easy repair.
