Ecometer
Does anyone use this ecometer device on their JK? I would be interested in the instant fuel economy, and the digital speedometer. My thought is though, if you have larger tires, would it read right if you have installed a Superchip or AEV Procal unit?
Quoted about the device: "The Auto Meter Ecometer digital gauges offer four different modes that can be easily selected by the driver at the touch of a button - instantaneous fuel economy, average fuel economy, digital tachometer with instantaneous fuel economy, and digital speedometer with instantaneous fuel economy"

I use the torque application on my Android phone if I want instant mpg but truth to be told, my GTO has the instant mpg display and I end up changing it to the average display as I consider it more useful.
The instant mpg jumps up and down too much and becomes useless after a while, road conditions vary too much to get anything out of it. Also constantly looking at the display will become dangerous, I think that's why manufacturers are getting rid of it.
PD. Who the hell needs instant mpg on a SRT8, although as per the reading, 0, seems accurate! It looks like crap too.
