effing hail storm
So i woke up at 2:30am to hear my windows being broke out of my house by one of the worst hail storms ive ever been in. The entire time i was thinking about my 2 month old jeep that i foolishly left out of the garage. It wasnt supposed to rain or anything which is kinda crazy...just a freak storm i guess cuz it only lasted about 20 min. Anyways the cut throat insurance company only approved me for $4000 and it looks like its gonna be 6800 in damages. The weatherman is now on my hit list lol.
Ps on a lighter note i finally got my 500 mopar bucks haha...bittersweet i guess

Definitely need some pics if you can. I often wonder what I would do if faced with a hail damaged Jeep. Pretty sure I could live with dents on any panel that would get touched from above. If the soft top is on, wouldnt that basically be the hood only?
$6800 would go a LONG ways towards some neat mods. The metal appears to be soft enough on these things that dimples may just heal up the next time the sun shines enough.

That must have been some hail storm. Just last month, I was stuck in traffic when a hail storm hit. Couldn't do anything but pull over as the nearest gas station refuge was miles away.
Long story short, my adjuster quoted me repair for my hood, cowl, a/c condenser, and a repaint to blend it all in (up to the windshield frame). Damage came back at $1,500, and they cut me a check for $1k ($500 deductable). In all honesty, you can only see two little dings, so I plan on putting it to the bank to paydown faster.
My adjuster was cool b/c the condenser had a couple of rock dings in it from normal road use. He said, "You want a new one of these?" I said, "Sure"... "Ok..." he said.
Anywho good luck and let us know how things work out...

I heard y'all got hit pretty hard. We got nothing yesterday. Not a friggin' drop. Did get some tonight and it's about to start up again. But considering how bad it's been, I'll take anything at this point.
BTW, I feel for y'all up there in Nebraska. Have a bunch of buddies at the CWS and they all have said it's been pretty frightening.
