Default Employee Pricing

Hello Again,

I am not sure about the States but right now in Canada Jeep has their employee pricing discount. However, when I went to the Canadian Jeep website to get a price quote the Wranglers are not listed. Does anyone know if they are excluded from the discount? Thanks.

When you build the Jeep it will show a discount. It wasn't on the list for a while, but they were trying to clear the lots of the X's and Sahara's, so the discount is on for the '07's at least in the states. Since it is the start of the '08 year, they might have dropped them off temporarily.

Is employee pricing really a true price or is it just bull like the rest of their sales pitches?

It is a real price, there is just a disclaimer saying it applies to participating dealerships. So a private dealer can say they don't honor it, but then they lose a sale. Let's face it, with the thumb bearing down on the dealers after the memo last month. I don't think many will turn you away.

I have a discount and it's about $2400 or so off MSRP, which brings it to invoice or just below. I'm just waiting for a Rubi to arrive.

I'm glad to hear it is a true price. Hope a Rubi comes in soon for you, your going to love it. (Of course it has to be Silver to really enjoy it. )

Doesn't apply to Wranglers, especially Rubi's. I could have gotten $8k off a Grand Cherokee Diesel... boy was I tempted.

Dealers in Canada currently have a $500 holdback for the '08 Rubi that I know of, and a $3000 loyalty cash back if you are leasing a Chrysler right now.

CarCostCanada is pretty good to find out what sort of deal you can get. Even armed with that, discounts on a Rubi where I am are pretty well impossible. I talked to my Dealer yesterday, and he said their entire initial allocation of Rubi's has been sold.

Could be pulling my leg, but considering there are none around, it is quite possible.
