Encountering a problem with quality control at Quadratec
I know this might be a touchy subject, as it deals with one of our sponsors. I will do my best to leave my emotion out of this and just state the facts. As it stands, I have had to return the same part twice due to missing pieces. When I asked the customer service agent for an explanation, all he could say was that unless the part came out of his local warehouse there is no way for him to verify that it wouldn't happen again. He said if the part came out of one of their remote warehouses there was no way for him to verify it was a complete part. He also said that he wouldn't be able to guarantee that UPS would not damage the box, lose a piece of the contents, and then re-tape it and drop it off at my desk.
It seems far fetched to me that UPS would do this, but the fact the he couldn't guarantee the part out of one of their own warehouse, remote or not, is just unacceptable. Don't you think?

Since they don't actually manufacture anything, it's not really their fault if a supplier boxes something up and it's incorrect. As long as they send you another one at no cost to you, I would try to find some way to be satisfied with the result. Good luck.
I understand your point, but this is the second time the box has come "taped up". It looks like it was previously opened. Seems strange that 2 boxes from BestTop came with missing pieces, doesn't it?
There is more to the story that makes me doubt their quality assurance practices.
I was hoping to find out if anyone else encountered this issue with them. Given how badly this has all worked out, I doubt I will be using them again for parts.
If anyone has any suggestions as to where I can order my parts going forward, instead of Quadratec, I would greatly appreciate it.

out of curiosity, what was it? I've heard a lot of the Bestop JK Supertops are missing various small parts. I can't think of any other Bestop JK product that would have parts to be missing, aside from the hardware bag from the bikini channel, those are missing in 1-2% of them, for both TJs and JKs. you can PM me if you like.
